I have a 95 explorer limited, and am a poor ass college student. My radio/tape player decided to quit wworking one day, and I need to replace it. I was wondering if anyone had any reccomendations on the cheapest way to do this would be. I was thinking maybe finding a used exact replacement. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Ebay.com is a good place to look for OEM replacements at a cheaper than Dealer price ofcourse you can always get some cheap walmart brand cd/tape player if thats all you wanna do with it is play cds/tapes and listen to the radio.

junk yards also sell factory radios cheap but i agree with ions if all you want to do is play cd's a listen to the radio just buy a cheap head unit from wal-mart or pep bpoys for like 100 bucks might sound better too

i have a used alpine head unit id sell u for a good price.. its an older model, like maybe 3 years old but it worked fine when i pulled it out of my explorer.. pm me if your interested and ill get you the model number..

The real problem I was looking at was the cost of installation (everyone quoted me at least $200 for installation because of some stupid **** the limiteds have on them). That is why I was thinking of buying a stock unit. The only problem is that it is hard to find a unit that is JBL. Do you guys know if a stock unit with out jbl that has a cd button would work.
