I recently join this site. Its a great place for info. I need answers to a couple of questions. I have a 1992 Explorer E.B. with the 2.5" Rancho lift kit, will 31x11.5x15's rub during turning, these tires will be mounted on Centerline rims 8.5x15 with a bs of 3.75, or should I just stick to 31x10.5x15's. I'm currently using 235's on stock rims, and there is a slight rubbing during full turn on the passenger's extended arm.

Welcome to the most informative car site on the web! Luckily its for Explorers

You shouldn't have any rubbing at all with a 2.5" lift. 31" tires should work perfectly. If you do have rubbing, you can shave off some of the fenders with a plasma saw. You shouldn't have too.

Once agian, welcome!

mflores,
I have the Rancho kit ,too, and I believe you might rub on the radius arms no matter what tire/rim combo you use. The Rancho arms are straight, the stock arms are slightly dog-legged. The 3.75 b.s. should be the best choice. It's not a big deal, though. You learn to avoid steering too far after rubbing several times. It sounds bad, but does no real damage. Also you should be fine as far as clearance with fenders, bumper, etc.

I'm going to move this topic over to Shocks, Suspensions and Lift Kits.
