NEED BATTERY HELP ASAP!!!

My friend and I took out the battery to a '94 XLT, and we can't get it back in. There is a little piece of plastic that appears to be there to stabilize the battery, but we cannot get that piece of plastic in there along with the battery. It just doesn't fit. How do we make it fit? Somebody please explain ASAP. Need help immediately. Thank

I was just able to wiggle the battery and get it to slide in... if not, I believe you can just completely back out the bolt, drop the battery in, and re-install the plastic hold down.

The Bat. has a little notch in the side that the plastic part should fit in. That part is held in place with a small bolt to the Bat. tray.
