Well I think my 5 or so year old battery has had it. The last couple of days when going to start my X the engine hasn’t turned over, just ticks. After about 5 minutes I can finally get it started with no trouble. I figured it either has something to do with the STP Fuel Injector I put in or I had a bad ground connection. But after driving around with my Hella 550's, my amp and a power inverter on for about an hour the battery finally gave in. I had it jumped and was off my way again. But as soon as I get home and turn the engine off, everything shuts off, including my radar detector. No power at all! So I think it's about time to change the battery. What's a good battery, not to pricey but still has enough juice to power my lights, amp and power inverter?

Thanks for any advice you can give.

I've been using an Everstart from Walmart for 3 years. Model DT-1. It's a fairly safe and reliable battery, and has a 6 or 7 year warranty. It has plenty of power for my lights and stereo stuff. Good luck!

Man IU've had exce;;ent luck with the OEM ford battery. 6 years and running strong. my mom's van has a 7 or 8 year old ford battery in it still works fine.
