There is nothing wrong with the Dayco brand they sell. Dayco has been around a long time and makes a good product. I prefer Dayco over Goodyear any day.

I agree with that, Dayco is a good brand, but everyone has preferences.

I used to have a VERY noisy belt (presumed original as I bought the truck with 36,000 miles and I was 2nd owner). At startup, it often squeaked and if it got the slightest bit wet, really bad.

Slapped a Gatorback on it a few years back and it's been silent since. I got the belt on recommendation of many on EF. I'm sold.

I love Gatorbacks, they are worth the extra money in my opinion. Even used one on my old BMW 3 series and it quieted the engine.

I have the same Eng on my '02 x & I like the gatorback

Interestingly, when I priced them out here in Calgary, they were CHEAPER than many of the other brands I found and had a better price tag than I was seeing at online sites in the US (when you factored in exchange etc).

That made me like them even more. I'm sold on this belt and won't consider anything else down the road.

just got it from rockauto.com 20$. Hopefully it it solves my A/C chirp.

Got the belt installed and it seems to be quieter and I ran my A/C and it didnt chirp. So I am a happy camper. We will see after driving it a while if the chirp comes back/ I hope not!.

thanks
