i have a 93 explorer and just did a HP full width 44 swap in it. i cant get my brakes right??? i tried bleedig them like 1000 times. i ended up putting a new master and power booster in and that still didnt help? pedal still drops to the floor. Then i bypassed the ABS and that didnt help either. What could be wrong? i tried everything. Is the stock master not enough for the front brakes?

Weird, we've had a few ppl swap the full width HP D44 axle (and a dew D60s) and I dont recall hearing about the pedal going to the floor - the issue these people have is not enough holding pressure (like on an incline). If it really is a volume issue, try disconnecting the front brakes and plugging the open port on the master cyl. Oh how are you bleeding em?

I didnt bleed the master like they wanted me to i craked open a line on it and a friend pushed the pedal down to the floor and i tightend it back up before he let it back up. i did that a bunch of times then did the farthest away from the master and worked my way up. and they never get stiffer pedal keeps going to the floor. When u crack the bleeders in the back they squirt at you and when u do the front i just get a stream of fluid not much pressure it seems

Keep in mind (and it's happened to me before) you could have replaced your master cylinder with a bad one. Just because it's shiny new looking doesn't mean it's good.

yes i have the engine or should i have it off??? but i think im going to try to bleed the master again it must still have a lot of air in it then go from there.

you need to get a master cylinder bleeding kit and take the lines off, install the bleed kit and bleed the master cylinder. Make sure to get all the air out of the master the bleed the wheels. Make sure the engine is off when you are bleeding. After bleeding pump the brake pedal with the engine off to see if you have pressure. If you start the engine before building pressure in the system the pedal will go to the floor and will not build pressure.

ok just tried tightin stuff and bleed the master and bleed all of them with the truck off and still have no pedal. Mabee my lines off the master are wrong???? which line does the front brakes is it the hole closest to the fire wall or is it the farther one?
