I have a 02 V6 4x4 explorer Ltd.

Can anyone help me solve this problem or suggest what may cause this problem! I'm hoping it's not serious.

I had the truck for a month now, and it only had one owner before me, so I do take in mind that it's an 02, so it's pretty seasoned!

So, the very first notice - I've notice a while back when I reverse my truck from an idle position, brake then shift to drive, the truck voltage drop, the lights dimmed like it wanted to cut off!

So not often but irritatingly enough, when I proform the same idle reverse it actually shuts off on me when I shift into drive or sometimes when I press the brakes firmly to stop? I have restart the truck as normal and it starts right up perfectly?

Any one ever experience that, and have any solutions? Some ppl took throws at it and said it may be a sensor! If so what sensor may cause that? If not please help!

No big help, but it sounds like a stick shift when it stalls out.
Don't know enough about trannies, perhaps a torque converter choking the engine?
Or the idle isn't increasing as it should on its own.

Send a PM to JK080 and see what he thinks.

Just an idea, not experience.
