Under the front passenger side fender torwards the front, where the vac ball is. There is a fluid that is leaking. Not a lot but enough to make a mess. I looks like brake fluid. Oily and pretty clear. I have pulled everything out of that area and still can't seem to locate it's source. Any Ideas?
Thanks,
Jeff

i hope its not A/C fluid, r123 or something, that stuff is dangerous.

There is a ball located in the fender well that is a vacuum resivour.

I don't think it is from the A/C. It works fine. I'm pretty sure that it is brake fluid.

when some vehicles left the factory, the brake lines were put on backwards. You can tell cause there is a metal bend in the line where it enters the caliper. If it is on backwards, when you turn in either direction you can see the line kink. Not good. Check it out cause that caused a tear in mine and I almost ran off the road when I pulled into a store cause the wheel extended and the line kinked which caused the caliper not to function properly. Also, you should notice fluid leaking from the reservior if it's something with the brakes, no?

I seriously have no idea where it is coming from. The reservior is on the other side of the engine bay so I'm gonna have to X that one out.

Are you sure its an oily fluid...? You said it was clear and I get this also. Mine however is water(I think anyways  ) I believe it drips water from the A/C being cold in the hot summer(condensation) like a glass of ice water on a hot day. This is just what I think about this problem.

No it's with out a doubt an oily fluid

Put some whit paper down underneath to determine the real color, and smelll it...does it smell like oil, or something else?

Is this normal because mine is also doing this... I figured it may be just a condensation thing, but if you look under the truck from where the a/c is located, It drips from a location that does not indicate everyday leaks. I mean the area was not engineered to have runoff.

Could this be a dryer within the lines or sumtin???
Or am I sweating the small stuff???

Thanks!

Jason...
