need help for my 91 explorer asap

Hey all, ivebeenreading this forum since ive been having problems with my explorer, i got it about a month ago and it drove perfect for the first week or 2, then on my way to work one day I got into my car likei alwaysdo and started to go down the street and when i looked in my rear veiw mirror all i saw was white smoke, the firstthing i thought of was "great i blew a head gasket" so for the next week my grandfather and i changed the head gasket ( it only took a week cause i had to work) but when we got it all back togeather the same white smoke was there, so thanks to YouTube and this.here forum i found out that it was just the pcv valve. And now im having major problems again, when i got the car all back together i went and filled up the tank, i went in and also got a fuel cleaner, head cleaner, and a injector cleaner, yes i added them all at once and yes i do know that was.a.really bad idea. Cause after i did that my car is running like complete crap. Right now have the symptoms of a failed FPM, including bad back firings, but i changed that and same problems. I also.changed the fuel filter as an fyi. I also checked the coil pack and the wires. Those were good too. So i have no idea what the problem is, if anyone has an idea please let me know... Oh and my check engine light never came on...

well it looks like you contaminated your fuel for one... idk what you mean by 'now i have major problems again' you didnt explain what the problem was that prompted you to dump all that junk into your tank. or did the issue start when you did that? If yes, you could drain the tank by disconnecting the fuel line and using hoses and canisters turn your ignition on to run the pump. It may stop after a certain time for safety reasons. If you catch fire dont call me.
 






Check your TPS, MAF, IAC?

TPS- throttle position sensor

MAF- Mass Air Flow sensor

IAC- Idle Air Control valve

When you clean your MAF, use MAF cleaner only it sounds stupid but there is a special can of the stuff. Use of anything else will kill the MAF.

IAC will cause drive-ability issues.
 






I fixed the major problem i had with it, it was the fuel injectors, now i have a exhaust leak, and i have power going up hills but not as much as i should cause i loose mph half way up, because of that i think i a going bad transmission,.... what do you guys think

how would you go about "checking" your TPS...?? MAF...??? IAC...???

You could also look up voltage specs on the tps and see if the existing sensor is in correct range by using a voltmeter.

Cleaning the MAF is just a good idea... mine has stumbled on more than one occasion and cleaning the MAF worked for me.
