This is the second time that it has happened to me. The first time I was headed to AC and I was driving for about an hour, and the car started to smoke, towed it back home, checked it, and the differential seal popped out, so I bought a new one and installed it. This time I was headed to NYC, and was driving for about an hour, and the same leak happened again. When I drive it in the city it's fine, but when I drive it for about an hour on the highway, the seal pops and the gear oil leaks out.

Anybody here know what could be the problem? I'd appreciate any help here.

Can you be more descriptive? Was it the pinion seal where the driveshaft attaches to the differential? If it was, that seal has to be pressed in with a appropriate tool. If you don't have a tool, you can use a socket about the same size as the flange, and tap it in with a socket.

check your breather tube - it may be clogged and that's allowing pressure to build up

Ditto. Ya' beat me to it.

It does sound like a clogged breather tube. The seal itself shouldn't just randomly walk itself out like that. It's likely building up pressure and blowing out. There should never be any pressure if the breather is working properly.

I talked to a couple guys and they also said to check the breather hose. I hope I didn't damage the diff, the axles or the transfer case, cause I had to drive it off the Turnpike for a couple miles and it was making a grinding noise.

thats bad, ihope you didnt chip or really where anything down. If i where you i would pull the diff out and check the insides for damage.
