Hi guys, i need help, advice and/or instuctions to get my 92' Exp back running.
here's a little overview on what has been done to it.
2 weeks ago threw in a 95' rebuilt engine (engine was tested: good) everything was great up until 2 days ago. i went out to dinner, and by the time i left the place my truck would just make a click noise, so i thought i was that battery cables were loose so i pop up the hood and yes they were loose, so i wiggle with them a little bit and egine started. last nite, same thing happened at my friend's house, so i managed to do the same but this time it didnt' work at all... so my friend gave me a push, and engine started (i have manual trans)
today i went ahead and took alternator off, took it for a test and it passed, came back home took starter out, tested it and it passed but bendix was worn out and got a replacement since it was still under warranty, (didnt pay any $$) replaced starter and didn't work, i thought the battery could be dead so took it off and tested it and it was good, i thought the starter relay (solenoid next to battery ) so replaced it and new one just clicks like the old one.
I'm done for today, and tomorrow will be looking to check cables for any peeled off or cut wired...

if theres's anything you guys think i should do besides what i did, please tell me what it is... i would really appreciate it!

Thank you guys!!!

Check the engine ground

What happens when you cross your relay with a screwdriver? does the motor turn over? does the small wire going to your relay get power when you have the key in the start position? if not then check you cpp. Just because the relay is new doesn't mean it is good.

thank you all for your advices... I've been busy at work and didn't have the chance to post a reply..
i did checked the power to relay, and it was getting signal from ignition switch, it was actually working ok.

i finally fixed it next day after i posted... i felt stupid after i found out what was wrong lol

the problem was, that the small wire (ignition wire) from relay to starter was being crushed with the engine block and the starter...so with the block getting hot, the plastic of the wire was peeling off exposing the copper wire and touching ground causing a short circuit and avoiding the ignition power to get to the starter...
i just had to replace the little piece of wire and i managed to avoid having the wire getting crushed again.
