wiper motor problems, why can I jump the wiper motor and it works? then I check power and connector and it has power on, then no power when turned on? please help. wife has to leave Wednesday. running out of time. I'm a mechanic by trade, did the usual tests, everything checks out except when plugged in....

Sounds liike a bad switch on the column. Have you tested it? Do you have power to the wiper motor when the switch is on and it is hooked back up? Could you be more specific about the tests you have done and at what point you have done them?

not only do you need power, a ground is also required for the motor to work.

checked the pin connector going throught the switch cycles. everything checks out. power probed the motor, runs on high. switch seems to check out

I need a diagram. went to 3 part stores today and no one has a Haynes or chiltons. bout to put match to it.

I need to come to a conclusion tonight. she has to leave Thursday morning early. I've been out of town for 2 weeks. just my luck

Make sure you have a good ground from the wiper motor.

hawaii hit the number one thread refrencing wiper/turn signal intermitten issues. also PM ncranchero he has numerous wiring schematics and can get you a diagram you need
