Need Help Please

I have a problem with my explorer and i think this is the right area i need. I have a 98 explorer v6 push rod 4x4. I was driving on the highway and i heard a pop and my truck starts vibrating. Not real bad like i couldn't drive it but the cab was rattling. I slowed down it stopped so i didnt think anything of it but when i picked up speed it started again. It only started when i got it up to about 50. I got home looked everywhere underneath couldn't see anything snapped off or out of place. I checked again i did find something but i'm not sure about it. My differential i guess going to the transfer case right off tranny was loose i could put my hand on it and move it. So after all that my question is that if my differential supposed to be loose like that or has something broken in my transfer case? If anyone has had this problem or knows anything any info would be great

Welcome to this forum! Are you referring to the driveshaft? If so, then the U joints might be bad.

I don't know of anything in the drive line that should be loose, and that could very well be your vibration. It does sound like you may have had a U joint go out and that could be dangerous to drive that way.
