My roommate has a 90 ranger which has a throttle body which for some reason is sticking badly. The sticking is intermittant....and we've taken the body off and cleaned it to see if there was something that might be loosened up. Unfortunately its still sticking and he wants a new throttle body. Can anyone give me some links of where to buy a throttle body for the 2.9 liter V6? Apparently the only place to get one around here is a yard.

Thanks

First, are you suer its the throttle body and not the cable? I have seen a lot of problems with Ford throttle cables. The plastic breaks and causes the cable to bind.
I don't know of any aftermarket throttle bodies for the 2.9. You may end up having to get one from a wrecking yard.

It seems like the throttle body. We pulled apart the whole thing and the throttle body had the most friction, the cable itself had very little. Still ... who knows...is there something that I should be aware of in regards to problems?
Please let me know

thanks
