ya, its the anti theft right in the middle of the dash. It blinks really fast when i turn the key to start the engine. ive been looking for locksmiths that make house calls to reprogram it cause we had a bad snow storm over the weekend and the car sat there and got burried, so it would be very hard to get out and tow.

so i had the x towed to the dealer on friday, its now saturday and their closed sunday. They said it "should" be ready by monday. After two days they still cant figure it out which i dont get because theres only two parts to the pats system. cant wait to see what they will charge for labor. Too bad i aint payin for all that labor cause as soon as i walk in there with my factory service manual and show them that i know how simple the diagnostics are.

Have you tried swapping or testing the battery (or even jumping starting) ? Cauz the rapid blinking theft alarm means the battery is dead

my car runs on 2 batteries ( one of them being a yellow top) and the starter wouldnt even engage when everything else works fine. After it was towed the dealer called and said that the transponder was not communicating with the pcm. i just dont see what is taking them so long for something that consists of two parts. i was also looking at the wiring diagram for the PATS system and there is literally 7 wires to the whole system. cant wait till i go down there on monday

i finally got tired of waiting, i showed up at the dealer w/ a tow truck and had my truck towed to another ford dealer in the area. The car was in and out within the hour as opposed to 4 days.

And the diagnoses and fix was?
