well, i took apart my transmission(m5r1). and there's this little peice of yellow plastic in there that has seem to melted, so i don't know what it's suppose to do. it's to the side of the input shaft and is screwed right onto the transmission, so i was thinking it lubricated the inputshaft bearings, but not sure because it melted off. so i was wondering if anyone has opened up their transmission and had this peice of plastic in there, and what it does. any help would be apreciated.

I think you'll find that the yellow plastic plug is used to plug one of the openings during manufacture. They have a tendency to push the plug into the gear box when fitting it to the vehicle.
