I just put a new clutch and slave cylender in my ranger and now I cant get the clutch to work at all. I tried bleading the slave before I put the trany in. I have tried the gravity feed deal and I dont get crap. I tried the catch can into fluid with the beader valve, nothing happens. I am wondering if the master cylinder part is bad. The resivour seems to not be loosing any fluid as you pup and I am getting very little air/fluid coming out the bleedervalve. When I disconnect the line at the tranny and pump the pedal I get no build up in pressure eather.

Prior to doing the clutch I was having problems with the clutch not disengaging. It looked like the slave was leaking due to brake fluid coming out of the bellhousing. Plus the clutch was pretty toasted anyway so its not like it was a complte waste. I hate to throw more parts at it with out knowing what the real problem is. I am at a lost. I only have about 8 hours into trying to get the damn thing to bleed.

If it won't build pressure with the line disconnected, then the master cyl. has air in it/messed up. I'd personally try pulling the clutch master cylinder off, bench bleeding it, and seeing if it has pressure then. If it doesn't, then you'll need a new one. Hopefully you just accidentally got air in the master cyl. and this'll solve your problem.

P.S. I had about 10 hours+ in bleeding my clutch. I finally went ahead and bench bled it and all was well. I tried every other type of bleeding before hand and this was the only thing that worked. (vacuum, gravity, turning master cyl., etc etc etc)

yeah the system did get air in it when the resivor went dry. I will try that in the morning and see if it solves my problem.
