Need help with Snowboard rack!!

I have a 2006 ford explorer, and im looking to get a snowboard rack for this winter. I was looking at the thule rack ( http://www.autoanything.com/ski-racks/69A4191A0A0.aspx )

My question is, do i need to order any special roof rack to attatch that too, other than the stock one that runs along the sides of the roof. Or will that attatch right to my stock rails? (im not sure what to call them)

for thule, you'll probably need crossbars also.

Consider a Yakina rack with might mounts (they attach to ford factory crossbars), http://www.yakima.com/racks/ski-rack/product/8003072/big-powderhound.aspx

or sportrack, they do the same

I have the yakima big powder hound on my 06 with the rack system but it also has adapters that fit my standard racks as well. Make sure you buy locks too!

Did you end up having to buy a crossbar or did you find something that attached to the side rails?
