So I usually have had a code for the engine running too lean on bank 1 (or 1 2 sometimes) It still ran fine, so ive been replacing some things to try to get rid of it slowly.

But end of last week it started driving really rough, and now I have a misfire code for cylinder 4

if im cruising at like 30 with out the gas pressed, like slowing down for a car in front or a turn, and then press the gas (not hard) it back fires sometimes.

If you press it a little harder on the gas it doesnt do it, and it doesnt do it if your almost flooring it to get to highway speeds or something,

But there defiantly is a loss in power and higher fuel consumption, along with every few seconds or so if im driving at a constant speed, you feel the power drop slightly for a half second then come back

Ive replaced all o2 sensors and replaced the MAF and all the vacume lines. It hasent been too long since i replaced the spark plugs but i think im gonna do that tonight just for fun.

I have MSD coil packs and ford racing wires, there prolly about a year old now.

ALSO during the summer if its really hot out (over 100 here) the whole truck looses power, no response from the pedal exept a sputter, but for only a second or 3. This only happens when pressing the gas after taking your foot off the gas (for turns and red light etc). But this only happens in summer when its hot, did it last summer and this summer, not doing it now though because its cooler.

Im leaning more towards a growing fuel pump problem or injector(s)?

Anyways im off to autozone to get some new spark plugs, and have them read the codes again and ill let you know what they are this time :(

Hah, so upon oogling in my engine bay i saw that one of the plug wires was close to the header, and what do you know its melted down the the core :(

So anyways i bought a new set of wires, new set of plugs and some ingector cleaner and its better all ready, we'll see if replacing the o2 sensors and the maf fixed the lean code that was always there though :)

Anyways, to not make this post a total waste of time, here are some pics of the truck before the sun goes down, its been a long time since i put an update here so...
