87 ford ranger
i have a 1987 ford ranger pick up truck....i notice a hose hanging from driver side rear axel is that vent hose now my only question i have does the other end is it connected to anything.

its only the axle vent hose its attached to the chassis on the left side but clip is probably rotted off on the end of the hose there should be a cap if not use a body push pin and you can tiewrap it to a spot on the chassis

...From the picture, it is a vent tube and you are safe to drive..;)

...I have seen people mistake their brake lines, and parking brake cable as nothing to worry about thinking that they were the vent tube...

yes its safe its only a vent it should be tie up above axle this is a 2 minute repair tie it to chassis if it was a problem it would be leaking fluid
 






Jeez I wish the underside of 23 year old Michigan cars looked like that... :)
 






i was thinking it was just me maybe its a 2007 not a 1987
