i drive my explorer xl 4.0 v6 for about 20 minutes on the highway and then park, i realize im parked too far from the curb but my car won start. i get head lights radio and dashlights just wont start. i decide to buy a new battery to see if that helps the problem since it has been atleast 5 years since last time i changed the battery. still same problem i drive for a while park turn off the engine and try to start it up again immediately and doesnt start. im not sure if its the starter solenoid or the starter itself. i figured out that when the problem occurs i take a screwdriver touch the 2 points on the solenoid and it starts my engine right up.... also when i finally get it to start my engine feels sluggish and then shuts off. can anyone help me please i have no where else to turn thank you .

ok i've checked all the fuses and i mean every single fuse in the car and they are all fine none are blown. today i changed the starter solenoid and i'm still getting the same problems when i drive for a while and the park try to start it doesn't start. finally after i wait about an hour or two it'll start right up but it start shaking and feels sluggish and then when i stop it just stalls. please someone help i don't know what else to look at and see what the problem is.
