Just looking for some info on lifting my 97 Ranger Ext Cab 4.0l 4wd 5spd .
I have never done any of this but i would like to lift it a couple of inches ( 2" or 2.5" ) I'm wondering what all is involved....do you have to change shocks or front coils, cables, linkage or anything for a small lift , what would i need for a lift kit etc .
Any help or info greatly appreciated :rangergreen:
Tks D.

well you have a few options.
1:body lift cheap (around 100 bucks)gains clearence for bigger tires.
you could do coil spacers or f150 coils either will give you about 1.5 up front
and the rear you could do shackles or blocks the more common choice is shackles coil spacers are probably the cheapest option for the front i paid about 50 bucks for mine from ford

...You can find some useful lift info by clicking the "How To" in my signature...;)
