I'm trying to IM you but it keeps saying "error code 3 received from server".

I've tired it with a few different names.

I can get your messages but then I try and message you back it says "You cannot send an IM to "Sk1er18". The other user's software cannot handle the commands at the rate they are being recievd."

ok, im just going to put my questions on here then... the first one is really easy to answer...

Ok, first off- with the lift blocks... nothing goes between the new lift blocks and the frame right? Like i take off the bolts on one side/loosen the other side/ put the lift blocks on top of what is there and lower the frame back on top... correct? theres no washer or bushing in between the block and frame?

Well the frame has these rubber mounts on them right now. You leave all the mounts that are there, and just add the blocks on top of those, but directly under the body. Make sense?

Second, no nuts came with the bolts in the lift kit so i assumed they threaded through the original bushings, but if i start tightening them it gets rediculously hard- so i stopped cause i dont think thats right... am i supposed to go buy nuts for these and drill out all the bushings? (the very front ones were a piece of cake... i just cut off the 3/4" part on that piece that sits in side of the busing with the thread on it off.

What do i do about the rest of them though?

you're answer is right- i didnt mean the frame sits on top of the lift block.. i meant the body. lol ok so i did that part right....

The front ones are the only two odd ones like that. The rest you just screw into the rubber mounts. You'll be able to tell when they're tight cause the bolt head will hit the body, ya know? You just have to make sure you have the right length bolts in the right locations. Otherwise you can run out of thread resulting in 'no more turning'.

when i tried screwing in the bolt though, as it got towards the bottom of the bushing it got so tight that the bushing started turning

That means your bolt is too long. The bolts shouldn't come out through the bottom of the bushing. Did you get your two extra 140mm bolts?

All the bolts in the kit were 2" longer than the stock bolts in there respective places. So i figured they would all work..

ok, maybe i mixed em up by accident. thanks for your help. im gonna head back to the shop--- ill post again on this thread tomorrow to let you knw how it went.

Thanks again!

Sounds like they should then. None of your stock bolts went through the entire bushing, right?

....they stuck out the bottom a little- if the new bolts dont work im going to see if the stock i can get 4 of the stock ones to work and ill just get more bolts tomorrw... they're only 30 cents a piece.

im heading out- seeya later

Definately keep us updated on your success... I'm going to do this same lift in about a month, so i'm curious to see how you fare (and if you were able to easily drop your radiator shroud with the SOHC motor)

The radiator shroud was kinda a pain to drop... but that was the easy part! This lift took me a straight 27 hours non-stop... i refused to stop except that one time to post this thread.

All in all- everything worked well except the front bumper is being a pain. The mounts are cheap so im going to make my own. And you cant have the fog lights on if you want to raise the bumper.

The rear was a piece of cake and i guessed perfectly and drilled the whole for myspare tire lift.

Any questions- feel free to ask! Im glad to help anyone now that i have some experience.

Get a pic of your 'rear hole' for us, please. :D
