The door locks on my 92 Explorer 4dr are froze up. I have went to the local salvage yards but no one has any. I stopped in at the ford dealer and they want $130 for the locks and ignition. I dont need a new ignition and I think $130 is a little more then I bargained for. I stopped at a parts store and they have them but their model years are for 93-95. I didnt think there was a difference between 92 and the 93-95. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Have a locksmith look at it.
He might need to rebuild the cylenders, but if you buy then you'll have to get them coded any way, so save the middle step and just call a locksmith

When you say frozen, do you mean by water or just totally dry and nothing is moving? There is a product called 'Lock-Ez' that is liquid, quickdrying graphite. A quick spray of that in each cylinder should free them up. Just don't go spraying WD40 in there, you don't want the lock cylinders attracting dust. If you can find Lock-Ez go get a bottle of LPS-1. LPS makes a few different lubes but #1 is what you want. It's go the power of WD40 but is greaseless so it will stay clean. Enjoy!

(Btw, I'm a locksmith by trade this is what I'd do before anything else).
