ok so this weekend i took one of my shocks off, i compressed it and it never poped back up, thats baaaad i know, so im looking for new shocks.

its between Bilstein, skyjacker and Rancho.. what are your thoughts?

Also its a 94 x lifted 3 inches.. so the top needs a stud. i know bout the mod to change that and lift the top up more, this will be done in the future. but is there something i can use for now so i can keep it stock as it is, but not have to use the stud end?

thanks or the help.

ok well i was bored so i called arounds to diffrent places... i called a place in town knows as les Schwab.. they said they have Gabrial lifted shocks foam cell for 300 all around installed.... but im looking at www.rockymountainsusp.com they have skyjacker nitro shockes for a 3 to 4 ich lift for 33 bucks apiece.... im thinking skyjacker its what was on the tuck when i got it.

Ok no one has told me no not to get the skyjacker, so I'm guessing there good shocks, so ill get them.

Ok I did some measuring today. The shocks I have are 19 inches extended and 14 inches compressed. When they are on the truch they are extended to 17 inches. To me it seems like they are to short. When I'm 4byin I have mr swaybar disconnected. So how I'm looking at it the shocks are only giving my 2 inches of movement. Can I go or should I go longer. I know it can be just as bad to go to long.

Put the truck on jack stands on the frame. Take the coil springs out. Let the suspension drop freely with the tire off. Measure the length. That is you extended length. Then use the floor jack to lift the TTB side as far up as it will. That will give you your compressed length. Then find a shock that is around that length. Also make sure your brake lines are long enough. Not sure how your truck is setup.
