Need opinion on my 84 Diesel Ranger

Wow its been a long time since I've been on. But here's my question. I'm finishing up my supercharger build on my 84 Diesel ranger. None of the diesel Rangers that had the 2.2L mazda/perkins diesels were 4x4. My brain storming came up with running a samurai divorsed t case behind the stock tranny (upgraded to a 5 speed using rx7 internal tranny parts) and then lift it 5 to 6 inches with a solid axle up front and 4.88s or higher? Or just turn it into a street machine?

You didn't ask a question, but I'm assuming you want opinions?
I think a diesel would not be a good street machine.
I would make a great crawler, though!
What transmission does it have? I'm guessing a 1354 won't bolt to it?

No the tranny is kinda a ******* by its self. The bell housing is unique to the diesel. So the thing to make it over driven is to swap the innards of a first gen mazda rx7 5 speed and tail housing into the stock 4 speed diesel case to get the 5 speed. Still just a 2x4 tranny. That's where I thought the sami t case would work
