i took off the seat and the brown wire and spliced it to a rocker switch. problem is the switch does not light up so i do not know if its working. i tried to power break it and it would do it by say 3grand one way and wouldnt with the switch in the other position. why doesnt the switch light up?? is it because its not grounded? also to go from 2wd if its workin back to 4wd auto do i have to turn the truck off, or just switch back and fourth

Did you supply 12volts to the switch as well as ground? it won't light up unless you do both... ;)

no i figured out why it wasnt lighting, ended up putting a toggle switch in for now since my buddy had the same switch that i was using and it caught fire. do i have to stop and turn the truck off to switch back? also will this hurt anything?

anyone know if i can switch it on and off while in motion, there will be snow tomorrow AM and i would like to know so i dont screw anything up lol

You can switch it on the fly with no problems. All you're doing is interrupting the power flow to the transfer case clutch coil. The system doesn't know it. :)

to really test it, power breaking isn't the best way, my stall converter has always kicked in before i even get the wheels anywhere near spining from a stop. Go in to a grassy area and just punch it, if you don't feel that wonderfull jar of the front grabing then your set.

Brown Wire Mod at its best -----> Video

Good Luck

ya i went out to a snow covered parking lot to try it out, it works lol
