Brown wire Mod??
Ok. I know it has been done 1000 times LOL
But I just got this question
When I changed over my shift motor on the T/Case a wile ago, I cut the brown wire between the T/ case and the shift motor wiring harness so i could pull it out, up until now I have just had a spade connector joining it back together.
Until I got to thinking what if I do the brown wire Mod but instead of diving into the dash to cut and splice the Brown wire. What if I did it down at the T/case end and then just run the wires for the switch up into the Cabin? To engage and disengage the electro magnet will this work, well I know it works because I just unplugged the wire from the spade connectors and I have 2WD Hi and Low rage, but will this cook something electrical by doing it like this??
Also what AMP wiring and switch should i use for this.
Thanks.
