I started with the lift and I am stuck . I have gotten eveything loose and now its time to jack the body off the frame, my 2 attempts to do it failed with the blocks i was using messing up the floor board between the drivers seat and the rear seats , so now its raised , i will ponud it back into place with a hammer to lower it back down. My question is where is a good place to jack it at and what did you use ie 4x4 placed horizontally onto the jack or what else?I don't want to put everything back and noty get it lifted. Thanks for the help. Pictures would be useful.

I used a 4x4 striaght up with the jack. I drilled out a hold the size of the lift head and put the 4x4 over it to keep it in place. THen i nailed a small 2x12 peice on top of the 4x4to distribute the load. But that was 8 yrs ago when I didnt know any better. Havent done one since, but it still works. BE CAREFUL and good luck

okay I tried again and now I noticed that the back tire came off the ground and the body came off the chassis only 2 inches. Could there be something else connected that I am not seeing. Took off front front core bolt, below driver seat , rear seat, and the one by the tailgate/hatch. I'm still lost.

There are also a set of bolts under the driver & front passenger floorboards.. Also make sure you disconnect the fan housing & radiator from the frame.

I took out a total of 10 bolts , the front core bolts are still in but the nut came off and i can still lift the body. My question is where is a good spot to lift from and with what? I guess a more detailed how to. I have search and the only thing I found was Jefe refered to the body between the pinch weld/rocker panel and the frame. If some one could point out where that is , that would help out lifting the body off of the frame.

When I did replaced my Body Mounts I experienced the same thing.. Even though all 10 body bolts were removed the body wouldn't lift off the frame. It was obvious the body and frame were binding causing them to be lifted together... Basically you can't just slap a jack in one place and try to lift the vehicle. Start with one side and place a jack in the rear and one near the front passenger seats. Pump each jack evenly (lift each jack 1/4" then goto the next jack) so the body can be lifted off. If you lift one too much it can cause the other part of the body to bind. If it appears the body is still binding to the frame stop and lower the jack to take pressure off I would back down the jacks a little and try again..

Success, I bought a foot of 4X4 and stack 2 2X4 and a brick and that did the trick.I did it near the third block back or rear passenger bolt. Also had to dremmel the front bumper mount on the outside holes about 3/8 of an inch on each side to accomodate the bumper brackets, other than that the only thing I did that I wasn't sure about was the A/C hose, so I zip tied it to the fan shroud braket and the lower radiator mount I just ziptied those to the tranmission cooler , if that what it is. After test driving the only thing I noticed was the steering was a little rough, but than again I only had the X for a week and been driving my Altima. Thanks once again for all the help. will take pics tomorrow.
