Engine: V8, 5.0L, 2001. I have monitored the OBDII readings from my engine and I am puzzled.
Does anybody have a OBDII scanner that can provide some comparations?
1. Timing Advance. At idle is some 20%, at moderate load and 1000rpm is 30%, cruising on highway at 1800-1900rpm is 40%. Is that reading wrong?
2. My long term fuel trims are some 17 and 18%. What can cause that - incorrect readings of MAF sensor, precat O2 sensors? Both MAF and O2 are "working" based on the readings, but I don't know if they are accurate.
3. Throttle doesn't drop below some 18% at idle. Is that the IAC valve influence or is a bad reading?
