i have a 1993 explorer with the 4.0 v-6 . im thinking of taking out the v-6 and going to the v-8 302 engine if i can find one in a low mileage wrecked vehicle . im not worried about the computer because im going to remove the injection and go to a 4 barrell carb. im also going to go back to the old style distributer . i plan on making it as easy as i can to work on and getting away from all the sensors . i think simple is better .
my question is has anyone ever done this . im trying to find out if the motor mounts will work and if my 5 speed tranny will bolt up . also what else will i face when i do this.
