Hey guys my passenger side door panel on my blazer has a crack in it that goes all the way through the panel, how could i repair this ? i thought about getting a plastic welder and doing it but dont know where to get a good cheap one, ebay just has ones that use an air supply from a compressor, anybody ever use a plastic welder before? how hard is it and is it the best way to fix the crack?

Same Problem. Someone Help!..

I gotz the same problem but on driver side door panel on my first gen ex.

Can cracks be fixed? or do "we" have to go to dealerships or junkwards and try not to be ripped off...

Thanx in advance,

well i ordered a cheap plastic welder off ebay to try out on it. from what I hear door panels can be very exspensive so i will try this route first

? Plastic Welder?

A plastic welder? Never heard of such thing..

Please tell us if it works etc -- how does it work?

well mine is basically a heating iron that you attach to a air compressor , the heating element heats up the air slowly pasing through it which in turn melts the plastic to be able to fuse it back together if it is cracked i havent had much success with it yet guess im gonna need alot of practice lol

So the welder does'nt just melt the 'crap' out of the pieces you are trying to weld together? - Do you need "extra" plastic to fill the break- so too speak...
