i have a 2006 ford explorer eddie bauer edition, it has the 4.6 v-8 6 speed auto, 65,000 miles on it. when the right rear tire breaks loose(wheel spin) or hit a bump or crossing the rail road tracks the transmission goes into a mode where it starts shifting so hard it feels like the rearend is going to break or come out of the car. if i stop shut the explorer off it resets it and we are ok then back to regular shifting. it is very hard to drive in snow or rain for the fact the wheel breaks loose too much then the trans goes to that hard shifting mode. it also feels like someone hits you in the back everytime i stop, just like you have been rearended. it does have traction control too. why is this and what can i do? tried reading some stuff on line but couldnt find anybody with my same issue. anybody got any ideas i hate to take it to a dealer without a little info so i can get an idea on what they are talking about.thanks jj at bmita8@aol.com
