Hi everybody,

I'm looking these tires

Kelly Safari MSR M+S 31x10 50R15LT 1090

From what I have found out (through calls to tire places) , they will fit on my 8 inch stock rims. However , the guy says they are to big for the wheel well.

Having seen the tires in person they sure don't look to big , they make the ones that are on my ex look like there too small, lol.

That being said , in your opinions , will these tire work just fine? I really could use new tires and these are only 100$ for all four and have great tread. Mine have about 5% tread left.:(

My ex is all stock , I'm not worried about the back ones hitting the well , I'm worride the front ones will hit when I turn the steering wheel.

...Take a minute and read the "How To" in my signature...;)

The short answer is "Maybe".. some people can, some can't (1st Gen X).. Our '92 could NOT fit 31's when stock.. 30x9.50 was as big as would fit (

So the max size for stock is 31x10.50x15 on 15x8 inch rims , which is the size of the tire I'm looking at? So I'm good to go?

Should be

Note that it says most and should a lot, you might have to do some trimming if it does not. Or you may need to boost your suspension or body up a little bit. Over time that OEM suspension will probably begin to sag a bit and that may cause some issues with your tire size. So as most of these guys have said, it should fit no problem, but they can't really guarantee it. I know little of the 1st gens, only the 2nd and they seem to fit 31s no problem, but I'd still want to lift it a bit just to be sure. Search threads on TTB lifts and shackles and see if there's any info there that gives you a cheap lift. Find out how much a body lift is for your first gen too. Just in case. And search other threads for first gens running 31s and see how many did it stock. Good luck.

Well I bought em. lets hope they fit or your all dead. lol . jk

From what I have seen here in other threads they should fit. I am also aware of the cheap as chips coil seats and shackles lift , but that'll be another day. Right now I just needed better tires , the fact that they are big is a little bonus , maybe to entice me to do a little mudding. I normally don't with my ex because I don't wanna break it or get it stuck lol.

I thought stock rims were 15x7? I mean if the stock tire size options are 225/75 or 235/75, thouse would be way too small for an 8" wide rim.

Well I checked again and there 8"

ok got them fitted and there good , thanks all!
