Need to replace torque converter - how many quarts of fluid ?

Anybody replaced the torque converter on a v8 with 6r60 ?
How many quarts do I need to feel it up ?

Total capacity is 11 quarts.

When I dropped the pan and changed the filter last year, I needed 7 + qts to refill. So if you are not dropping the pan, you'll need at least 4 qts.

Thanks, that helps. It confirms total 10.5 qts I found so far. I have 8 qts standing by

I recall reading in a thread, that you commented on a while back Explorer_PL, that the tranny total for the 6R60 including the torque converter is 11.2 quarts per ford specs.
