but sometimes sellers says things that are not 100% true..
i just want to be sure i buy the right part for my car

He posted a Ford part number, check that with a dealer.

that to me looks like the horizontal pad on the 96-01 explorers... the 02 -09 explorers have the vertical pad...might wanna look into that more.

Ya, wrong pad, that's for a 2nd gen.
