NEED YOUR RESPONSE(performance upgrades)

Hello Everyone! I am a new member, but have had my Sport Trac for a little over a year now and I am completely hooked. I have some news for everyone; I hope that it will interest you as much as it did me. I have talked to Lee Bender (owner of C&L Performance) about branching out into Explorer performance upgrades. The only problem is he has been a little hesitant due to lack of interest from Explorer owners. C&L Performance right now specializes in Mustangs. My family has gotten to know Lee fairly well as he uses my brother's '03 GT and my father's '03 Cobra for his performance tests for Mustangs. The reason that I am writing is because I would like to see Lee make some performance upgrades for the Explorers (seeing as they are hard to come by). Also, C&L is known for its quality and Lee has more than proved himself in the Mustang world. So, what I am asking is if you are at all interested just reply to this thread and say so! If I can get enough replies then Lee might consider getting into the business, and I would be able to post dyno results and pictures of everything, as we would use my Sport Trac as the test truck. If this has interested you at all please reply and let me know that you would be interested in possibly buying performance upgrades from C&L if they were to become available. The possibilities of products would be: Mass Air upgrade, Intake inlet pipe(Lee uses K&N Air Filters), Upper intake plenum, and a lower intake upgrade. Again please reply if this is something that you would like to see happen. There is significant horsepower/torque that can be made/gained in this area!

More power is always good, but expensive mods are not... still interested if the price is right.

Don't we already have that here? I think its called Explorer Express... so, this will be the East Coast version?

Yes, he is located in Huntsville, AL but he has his website set up to ship anywhere you would need. Also, his prices will more than likely be competive if not lower then what is out there now. All that depends though; the first step is we have to find out if the demand is there, and I'm hoping it is.

EE doesnt make performance intake manifolds.

The aftermarket for SOHC upgrades is almost non-existant. I would love to see some support in this area.

All of you guys are great! Thanks for the support and I will be sure that Lee sees this thread. Nice to see that I wasn't the only one interested, and that we might actually get this to work out. I hope that Lee will feel confident enough to give this a shot for me as well as all of y'all! I know now that we all share a common obsession for POWER!

EE doesn't make anything for the 4.6L. Hell, Jeg's has more performance parts for new Explorer than EE does. Yeah I got a C&L 80mm MAF on my 4.6L Mustang. Not too bad. No major difference in performance but I kinda like it. But just for a note, Granatelli already makes a MAF for the 02+ V8's.
