Hey everybody... Im new to this forum, and so far it has been the best site that ive found in a while. But ive gotten myself into a real problem, and i cant post in the 911 section yet.

Here's the situation. We were drilling a hole to run some wiring for an amp along the drivers side door right under the moulding where there a lot of wires. Due to some miscommunication, we drilled through some of those wires. we never severed any of them, so i just wrapped all the ones that we nicked with electrical tape, thinking all was gonna be ok. Then i hooked up the amp power cable to the battery and strung the cable through that hole. when i went to try some stuff out, there was all kinds of stuff wrong. This is what ive noticed so far:

-The dome light, overhead console lights and door marker lights dont work now
-My 4wd and 4wd low lights flash a few times, then turn off
-My power windows dont work
-There is no power to the stereo now

So far thats all ive noticed.... and well, this has me really confused. Do you think it has to do with the wires that i hit under the door molding? is it something else? Maybe a rekay or fuse or something? Im out of ideas, so please any tips that you have, even ones that are so basic they sound dumb, i wanna hear them please. Thanks

ps. if a mod sees this and could maybe move it to the 911 section, that would be awesome, cause i really need to at least get my windows up.

You shorted the circuit. I can't remember which fuse # it is, but you busted a fuse. I'm 95% sure your probably is a fuse. I was trying to get to something near the dome light and my screw driver sliped and shorted it all out. I had the same problems (except the radio - i never tried it). It was a busted fuse on the side of the dash. Good luck. If you don't have a meter, just pull the fuses and see if it's broken.

Dude, you are a lifesaver. Thanks, i got it all working. Everything but the stereo was a fuse, and the stereo was just a connector that had slipped. Thanks for the super fast advice
