G'day mate. Could be your M.A.F. (mass ar flow) sensor or throttle body need a clean. Try doing a search in the bar at the top of the page and see if there are any solution's to your problem in there. Throw some more detail's in your question like when it started to do it, has it been regularly serviced and how many k's are on the clock. Someone should be able to offer some advice if the answer you seek isn't found in your seach.

thanks mate i spent about 3hrs looking to see if any one had the same problem its only started yesterday and has 185000 k,s on the clock it is serviced every 5000 iwill give the throttle body a clean and see how it goes thanks

No worries. I had a squiz meself and found SFA but give it abit of time and someone will chime in to help. Good luck mate. Oh and use a dedicated throttlebody cleaner, other cleaner's can take off the protective coating. The maf is on the air intake pipe that lead's to your throttle body evaporative electrial component cleaner will sort that. One thing else (don't know if it'll work) disconnect your battery for 1/2 an hour then reconnect, sometimes resetting the computer can help.

welcome
