I decided my 99 5.0 AWD could use new body mounts. Crawling around under the car I could see they were showing their age. So I called the good guys at Silver State Ford and ordered an entire set...uppers and lowers. The two uppers for #4 were on back order, but I found a couple in Oklahoma and had them shipped. So Sunday, I took on the job. 4 hours later, I had all the mounts replaced. None of the bolts required penetrating oil and nothing was seized. (you gotta love Arizona) I did have one mount that was stubborn to separate, but I used the bolt and a big ol' hammer to drive the lower out. Really not a difficult job at all.

The reason I am writing this is you cannot believe the difference in the way the car rides. It's so much tighter now. Almost like a new car! I was shocked at the difference it made. Now I can't wait to replace the spring eye bushings! So for less than $350 and 4 hours of my time, I have a new ride. Well worth the money and effort.

Yes. Anyway, I did. Let me look them up and I'll post them. I had just under $350 for all of them shipped. All but two came from Silver State Ford.

All part numbers start with F77Z1000_____

(2) 154NA
(2) 154PA
(4) 154RA
(2) 154SA (on national Back Order...there's a dealer in Houston who has them in stock)
(2) 155NA
(4) 155PA
(4) 155RA

Then you can still get the two front bolts. N8C0442S436 Those are the only bolts still available. But after doing the job, you could use bolts from Ace Hardware I'm sure. Just get their good bolts. I can also say I didn't have to replace a single bolt. Mine were in great shape. I just buffed them clean with a wire brush wheel and used antiseize to re-install them. I'll check them in a few weeks to see if they have loosened at all. They shouldn't.

I also have a diagram with the part numbers written on it so you can see where each part goes.

$350?! for rubber mounts?!

I'll stick with my polyurethane body mount kit that cost ~$250 less, thank you very much :)

although it will require a couple more hours worth of work.
