new coil pack burning up at spark plug

Hello. Can anyone help me to determine why a coil pack burns up within just a couple days of install. It looks just about as bad as the one I replaced it with.

How old are the plugs, what gaps do they all have? Coil packs usually last forever, unless the plugs are allowed to wear out and have gaps in the .150" range.
