I don't think it looks that bad... I think that's the way styling is going to go... And if that truck is sportin the hemi motor, I like it more.

I dunno who is worse in the styling department:
Dodge or Pontiac

After viewing this rolling abortion, Dodge edges out in the lead.

Can we say beefed up PT Cruiser....

All that said, if it's not packing the RT/10 then I don't want it. One thing that the durango does have on us is it's wide stance, but I guess that's nothing a couple bushwackers couldn't fix.

That thing looks like a J**p Liberty on steroids. Personally I don't care for the new Dakotas, I like the 87-96 body style, despite the cheesy '80s interior they still feel better than the new ones, don't feel nearly as cheap.

[BI have always thought the Durango has been one of the best looking SUVs made. I wanted to get one as a work truck, but you can't fit a 6' ladder in the back laying down (can with Explorer). I rented an '03 Durango for a few days while on a work trip, and I have to say, I was impressed with it. It was quick, handled pretty well, and very comfortable. [/B]
i agree, and i will proudly stand with you and accept the stoning. when i bought the X, i wanted a mid-size V8 sport ute, used, in the $12k or under range. there were two reasons i didnt get the Durango- the horrible (then) Dodge 1/2 ton tranny, and price. i couldnt get a used Durango 3 years ago for 12k. if i had, i would prolly be on a Durango forum right now. as far as styling, the first gen. Durango is the best looking sport ute made IMHO. lifted offroader, or slightly lowered streeter, they just look great.

i dont know about the new one. it may grow on me, it may not. i do know that i have a deep love for anything with the spark plug in the center of the valve cover, and i would drive an admitted ugly vehicle if i could get a hemi. i was (and still am) under the impression that the new Durango will be a bit more tame than the proto, as it will be abit more like the new Ram.

It looked like ugly and a durango hooked up omg that is fugly.

i like it...i am just as much a dodge fan as i am a ford fan though. I think it will be tamer when it goes to production and till have less cladding. It just clicks with me i guess...and the hemi to top that off...
