can you put a newer v6 4.0L engine in an 1994 ford explorer?
Like a newer ford explorer model ?

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread into the modified 91-94 section. You have an OHV engine. I assume that you are referring to a SOHC engine from the newer models?

Which 4.0L Pushrod or SOHC they both have flaws. Early pushrod 4.0 had head gasket problems and SOHC have timing chain slap from what i have learned. But yes you can. As long as the room is there you can put any motor in there. I have a 351w superchraged in a 93 explorer only had to trim the heater box.

yes i was referring to the newer model engine,but i bought a used engine for 400$ with 91k miles and i am currently replacing the oil pan in school
