New exhaust added. Reset Computer?

I have recently added a Flowmaster 50 series exhaust to my 98 Sport and I think I read somwhere on this board that you if you replace the exhaust with a more high performance exhaust you should reset the computer. Is this true and if so how would I go about resetting my computer?

It's not a bad idea to reset the computer when you do a performance mod. To reset the computer, just disconnect the battery for at least 5 minutes.

i know youre suppossed to reset the computer for mods, but i didnt think that you had to do it for exhaust. anyway, i guess it cant hurt anything. congrats on your exhaust!

Its a prudent move to reset the computer whenever you change something on your Explorer.
