new exhaust system

im not sure if this would go here or in the mods forum, but i am looking to replace my exhaust system in my 94 4 door XLT 4x4, and was wondering if anyone knows where i can get either a true dual or cat-back dual kit for it. since no place i have found carries them. or is it possible to even run something like that. if not, wont really bother me. just trying to help my baby breathe a bit better. may have to go to a exhaust shop and have one custom bent... ooooh pricey! oh well stock replacement flowmaster wil prolly have to do. heh i need it all from the ends of the manifolds on back. rust sucks...

i just got a replacement flowmaster 40 on my 05 St 4x4. i was gonna do the whole thing custom but yeah, it gets pricey. the flowmaster sounds pretty nice. if you do the whole thing custom, i'd go with the series 40 single in-dual out muffler. thats a good way to save some $$$ on the piping.

well the bad part is it is going to cost me anyway. i need to replace the entire system from the y pipe all the way back. im thinking of just going all out and replacing from the manifold back with a set of shorty headers. i would love to go true dual, but looking under my rig... i dont see where i would put the driver side pipes. dang fuel tank getting in the way...

also, does anyone know if the newer 5 speed automatics will direct bolt onto the 4.0? or is it impossible. coming time to replace/rebuild the trans, and not really digging the bad rep the A4LD has and am looking to get away from it if possible.(also the only people in town that will even touch it except for regular servicing is the ford dealer... and im not digging the markups they give out) any hints would be nice. and thanks in advance =)
