Hi. My name is Matt and I am from Tucson, AZ. In the past I have owned a 2000 4X4 Ranger that I took from stock
(Who needs a picture of a stock Ranger!)
To 5.5" RCD Lift on 33's
To Dixon Brothers Racing Long Travel on 35's.
On a quiet afternoon in Ocober 2010 this happened:
A distracted driver made an illegal left hand turn through a signalized intersection and hit me right behind the axle on the front tire. After 2+ years of fighting with the insurance companies, I am back in the game.
This time I am starting with a 1999 Explorer XLT 4x4. SOHC with 199,200 on the clock. I chose an Explorer because the similar chassis will allow for me to reuse much of what was on my Ranger. I am also interested in having additional seating capacity and locking storage.
I am a long time member of TRS, R-F, and DR. Every time I search for information on Explorers, "Serious Explorations" is at the top of the list for useful information. As such, it looks like this is the place to be as an Explorer owner.
Here are a couple of pictures of my project in progress:
I plan on starting a build thread and will add pictures as progress is made.
