2006 EB explorer 4.6 v8
So last week I purchased a used 2006 EB explorer 4x4 4.6 with 172xxx. All went good on the test run and I desperatly needed a car so I bought it. I had the oil changed and had the tranny filter changed and fluid flushed. A few days ago I installed a new radiator because it was gradually leaking both coolant and transmission fluid from the oil cooler fittings. Now the problem is that when you accelerate sometimes the car lunges forward usually does it when trying to get to speed on the interstate... Sometimes the lunging gets violent with a loud bang. I was towing a boat on the interstate yesterday and it banged so hard that it had an orange wrench light come on and it turned the traction control light on (car slipping)... Car still drove fine other than that.... I didn't have a code reader so I turned the car off and back on, and the wrench went away but I still had to mash the traction control bottom to turn that light back off. The car really drives great, other than that lunging forward under medium to hard acceleration. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
