New Explorer Owner

hey all! I am a new Explorer owner, literally. I just picked up my 2002 Explorer XLT V8. from the dealer a few hours ago. I am a lifelong GM fan, but I'm gonna try the ford thing out for a while. I also have a 1992 Mustang thats my project car and is coming along quite nicely.

So, I already have a question: My Explorer has the number code entry that unlocks the doors. I know that you hit the last 2 buttons to lock the doors, but the card that is supposed to come in the owners manual with the codes to unlock the doors, is missing. I know you can change the codes (or add more) but I am told that you need the original codes to do this. How else can i get the codes? thanks.

The module is behind the driver side door panel. BUT you have a '02, I think it is also in the glove box. I may be wrong. We had a member say that was where his was about a month ago. Welcome to Explorer Forum and happy hunting!
