- 2003 Ford Explorer ST
Hey all,
I found this forum in the days leading up to buying a 2003 Explorer ST. Y'all have already been a huge help in understanding what to look for during that process.
The truck I bought (from a dealership) was throwing the PO171 & PO174 codes and I was able to find the cracked elbow in the PCV valve. Their mechanics gave me a bunch of "possible" causes - from bad O2 sensors, to blown gaskets, to vacuum leaks. "A few hundred bucks at least", the mechanic said.
Glad he did. Got them to knock an extra $500 off the price. Cost $50 to actually get it fixed.
Just had some time to replace some burnt instrument cluster lights and replaced them with red LEDs. Now looking to the next improvement.
