I am about to change my fuel filter.. '92 ranger 2.3 is there anything that i need to know, i plan on disconnecting the old one and re-connecting the new one. is that it?
Just finished the fuel filter..probably the easiest thing i have done on that truck. i started the truck, pulled the fuel relay fuse as the truck was running to relieve pressure. Took off the gas cap and popped off the plastic clips loosenrd the big hose clamp that held it o the bracket and replaced it ..the most gas i got dripping was from the gas in the old filter.total time 20 min. no lift .. piece of cake...
just take your gas cap off and there should be a little pressure release valve it almost looks like a valve stem on your fuel rail. release all the pressure and your good to go. i recomend wearing saftey glasses though it can get messy.
